Madeline is a multifaceted reporter whose work has focused primarily on reporting investigative, political, environmental and community news. She also has experience in reporting breaking news and feature stories.
Madeline most recently worked as a reporter for The Center Square, covering 2024 election news in Arizona from the taxpayer’s point of view. Her work was picked up by news outlets across the country including MSN, Washington Examiner, San Francisco Examiner and many others.
Before working with The Center Square, Madeline worked as the assistant news editor for Today’s News-Herald and the Parker Pioneer in Lake Havasu City, AZ.
She graduated with an M.A. in journalism in 2023 from Hofstra University, where she was news editor of the Hofstra Chronicle. During her time at Hofstra, she took part in an internship where she did in-depth reporting for the book Black Women’s Lives: Stories of Power and Pain. She has worked as a freelance reporter for the Student Nation, WABC-TV, Long Island Press, Long Island Advocate and Long Island Herald.
She has won multiple awards for her reporting including second place in in-depth reporting and first place in environmental reporting - both from the Press Club of Long Island. Her biggest passions include uncovering injustices and educating people on what is happening in their communities.
In addition to her reporting capabilities, she has experience editing stories, designing newspapers on InDesign and overseeing other reporters in a newsroom.
She is incredibly passionate about her work and will always do everything in her power to bring justice, a voice or simply an outlet to those who need one.
